Carol Winn Obituary

Carol Winn, 75, passed away peacefully August 11, 2022, at her home in Salina, Kansas surrounded by family. Carol was born August 5, 1947 to Rachel (Harlow) and Clarence Weis. Carol was baptized in the First United Methodist Church and grew up and attended Salina High School. At the time of her death, she was enjoying retirement with her husband, James, of 56 years.

Carol spent many of her working years at Salina USD 305 as a bookkeeper at Salina South High School. Carol enjoyed taking care of her beautiful flowers in the backyard. Her most favorite pastime was loving her faithful chihuahua Joey. Carol attended many Masonic gatherings with her husband James, and played dominoes with the ladies at the shrine while the men attended the meeting. Carol was a past member of Eastern Star and the Social Order of the Beauceant.

Carol’s outgoing personality, witty charm, and infectious humor impacted all of us. Please never forget this amazing woman who has touched all of our lives these past 75 years that we all had with her. The outpouring love and support from all our friends and family has moved us and is so greatly appreciated.

Carol is survived by her husband, James R. Winn of Salina; son, Garrett Winn (Becky) of Salina; daughter, Christina Braiden (Russell) of Canon City, Colorado; grandchildren, Colton Winn (Bri) of Columbus, Ohio, Destiny Trostle (Brenten) of Salina, Timothy Winn of Salina, and Daniel Caroll of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and great-grandchildren, Alena Trostle and Graciana Trostle of Salina.
