Dewayne Lee Unruh, 63, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Salina, Kansas.
Born on May 23, 1963, in Salina, Kansas, Dewayne was the beloved son of Phyllis and Dale Unruh. He attended Salina South High School and later spent several years as an over-the-road truck driver before beginning a career at Bergkamp, where he worked as a machinist and welder for more than 20 years.
Dewayne was known for his kindness, resilience, and dependability. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends, cooking for anyone he could, shooting firearms, and attending church.
Dewayne is survived by his daughter, Annie Unruh; his granddaughter, Ameerah Presley; his siblings, Dala Wallace (Joe) and Brian Unruh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Dewayne was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Phyllis (Skyllberg) Unruh and Dale Unruh; his grandparents; and friends who preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Ryan Mortuary. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, also at Ryan Mortuary.
