Earl R. Dauer

Earl Dauer, 94, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away October 16, 2024, at Sunflower Terrace Assisted Living.  He was born November 19, 1929, the son of Robert Theodore “Ted” Dauer and LaVerne (Oleen) Dauer. 

On December 9, 1950 Earl was united in marriage to Ione Anderson at Salemsborg Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ione; parents; one sister, Lois Peterson; and one brother, LeRoy Dauer.

Earl leaves behind many loved ones including daughter, Sheryl (Mike) Starr of Salina; sons, Norman (Donna) Dauer of Lindsborg, David (Bernie) of Falun, and Chris (Tina) of Falun.  He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Board of Belgrade, MT, Kelly (Krista) Dauer of Lindsborg, Josh (Britta) Dauer of Falun, Amy Dauer of Prairie Village, KS, Raymond (Alexis) Dauer of Falun and Lori (Gabe) Dierksen of LaCrosse, KS.  He leaves behind 8 great grandchildren Nicholas & Haylan Board of Belgrade, MT, Avery & Nolan Dauer of Lindsborg, Reagan & Wyatt of Falun and Hattie & Briggs of LaCrosse, KS.  Earl also leaves 1 brother, Fred (Carla) Dauer of Honolulu, Hawaii, and good friends Jim and Marilyn Robb and Bill & Carolyn Erickson.

We are so grateful to Sunflower Terrace employees and Community Care Hospice that took such loving care of our dad.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 21, from 4-8 p.m., with family present from 6-8, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, KS, 67401.

Burial will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 9:30 a.m. at Falun Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life following at 10:30 at Falun Lutheran Church, Falun, KS.  Casual dress is suggested.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated for Community Care Hospice or Sunflower Assisted Living Terrace in care of Ryan Mortuary.
