Erik Aranda-Mota

SALINA - Erik Aranda-Mota, 23, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Salina to Juan and Maria (Torres) Mota.   

Erik was a huge soccer fan and a great player, being selected for the varsity team all four years of high school.   He enjoyed spoiling his wife and making her feel special. He also loved video games, shoes, shopping, and spending time with Nora, Gio, family and his many friends.  

Erik is survived by his wife, Alycia Aranda; son, Giovani Aranda; daughter, Nora Aranda; parents; Juan and Maria Mota; sister, Yesica Swenson (Eric); nephew, Emmett Swenson; nieces, Vivia Swenson and Ava Swenson; grandparents, Carlos and Rosa Torres, Ma Felix Armenta-Gonzalez all of Salina.     

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Maria Guadalupe Mota (Lupita).

A vigil will be held at 5 p.m. and rosary service will commence at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, all at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 8th at the Cathedral.  Inurnment will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
