Gertrude Emogene Parrott, 86, of Salina, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was born February 18, 1939 to Cornelius and Reta Lott on a farm northeast of Bennington, Kansas.
She attended school in Bennington while she was in high school and a year after high school, she worked for the United Telephone Company as a telephone operator. After leaving Brown-Mackie Business School, she worked as a telephone operator for South Western Bell Telephone Company for almost three years.
She married Charles Parrott September of 1960. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Kines, of Gun Barrel City, TX; one granddaughter and three grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Dusten Ryan Williams.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 at Bennington Cemetery.
