Glenn Headley Obituary

Glenn L. Headley, 84, of Salina passed away Sunday, December 27 at Salina Presbyterian Manor. He was born April 29, 1936 to Clifford and Ethel Headley in Downs, Kansas, the fifth of six children. Upon graduation from Downs High School in 1954, Glenn moved to Salina, Kansas. As a freshman at Kansas Wesleyan, Glenn began working at Stevenson's Clothing which turned into his life-long profession, eventually owning his own men's clothing store for 40 years in Salina's Kraft Manor. In 1958 Glenn married Elaine Selden of Clyde, KS and celebrated 45 years of marriage. From this union Glenn and Elaine had three children: Marlys, Sara and Ross.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, parents Clifford and Ethel, sister June Lindblom, and brother Howard Headley. Glenn is survived by his children Marlys Headley of Columbia, SC; Sara Marinakis (Jim) of Lenexa; Ross Headley (Joy) of Olathe; five grandchildren: Connor Tillman, Evan Tillman, Michael Marinakis, Hudson Headley and Julia Headley; and brother Marvin Headley, sisters Juanita Wilcox and Ruth Harris and 15 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18 at First United Methodist Church, 122 N. 8th St., Salina, KS. In keeping with current CDC guidelines, we ask all who attend the service to wear a mask. We also ask that you wear your  favorite suit and tie that you bought from Headley's Clothing. Burial will immediately follow the service at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Scottish Rite Valley of Salina and Isis Shriners in care of Ryan Mortuary.
