Gwendolyn Fay (Major) Cross

Gwendolyn Fay Cross, 64, of Salina, Kan., passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1960, in Hillsboro, ND, to William C. and Gloria (Reber) Major.

Gwen was raised and graduated from high school in Hillsboro. She worked in the restaurant industry her entire life, most recently at Russell’s and IHOP in Salina. Gwen loved to make people laugh and liked making Tik Tok videos and keeping up with friends and family.

Survivors include her husband, James Cross; father, William; children, Tiffany, Tina, and Lloyd; numerous grandchildren; brother, Brian Hillebrand (fiancé Joy Gust); and sister, Janice Pigeon.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria; brother, William J. “Billy” Major; and sister, Esther Dahl.

A viewing and visitation will be held from 2-5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina. Burial will be at a later date at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made in Gwen’s honor to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center of Salina, care of Ryan Mortuary.
