Helen “Renie” Green, 76, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. She was born in Salina, on March 1, 1948, to Flavis and Dorothy (Scott) Kilgariff. She married Robert “Bob” Green on March 30, 1973 and he passed away, March 17, 1999. Renie graduated from Tescott High School in 1966. She was a local business owner and hairdresser for many years.
She is survived by her husband Steve Echer, of the home; children, Lonnie Green (Valerie), of Denver, Lori Robinson (Mike), of Solomon; grandchildren, Bobby Robinson and Scott Robinson; stepchildren, Shelby Hume (Brian), of Wichita, Carrie Marvin (Don), of Leon and Wade Echer (Camille), of Connecticut; step-grandchildren, Cheyenne Marvin, Sierra Hockett, Savannah Marvin, Jordan Echer (Bailey) and (Lena and Jack Echer); two step great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Bob.
Happy Hour will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Rooster's Tavern. A celebration of Renie’s life will follow at 2 p.m. at Rooster's, band starts at 3 p.m. An inurnment at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, will take place at a later date.
