Jack Blaine Duffin, age 71, of Mentor, Kansas, passed away on June 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 18, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jack lived a life defined by perseverance, humor, optimism, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Jack was known for his steady determination to face life’s challenges, always meeting them with quiet strength and a can-do spirit. He had a sharp wit and a warm sense of humor that lifted others even in difficult times. Above all, Jack was a deeply supportive and present father, grandfather, brother, and friend, the kind of person who always showed up, always listened, and always believed in the best of those around him.
He is survived by his sister, Jill Duffin Bush; his children, Stephanie Jaklevic (Steve), Clayton Duffin (Lacey), and Emily Swisher (Uriah); and his five beloved grandchildren, Tristan Schedler, Braxton Duffin, and Rustin, Brody, and Quinley Swisher; and his ex-wife, Joyce (Schalk Duffin) Bubniak. Jack also leaves behind his nieces, Angie Roberts, and Amy Bush, and nephew Andy Pippin, all of whom he loved deeply.
Jack’s legacy is one of strength, kindness, laughter, and enduring love. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the way he made others feel seen, supported, and cherished.
Per his wishes, no services will be held.
