James E. Lacy, 95, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He was born January 7, 1930 to John Emery and Alma (Braungardt) Lacy in Salina. Jim graduated from Washington High School in 1948 and a couple months later, he married Margaret C. Wickersham on August 7, 1948. Jim worked for the Fire Department and became Chief, he retired after 25 years of service. After retirement he decided to sell hearing aids and enjoyed working on clocks.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Becky Shaw (Larry) and Kim Hill (Troy); grandchild, Kelli Radke (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Reese Radke and Lane Radke and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Debra Dray; grandson, Stephen Shaw; sister, Margaret “Peg” Urie.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Ryan Mortuary. Vigil will begin at 6 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Fr. John Schmeidler as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral or Interim Healthcare of Salina.
