Janine M. (Alley) Martens

Janine M. Martens, 63, of Salina, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025.  She was born in Topeka to Gerald Alley and Rosemary (Karlin) Jochum.  

Janine graduated from Salina Sacred Heart High School and then enrolled at Brown Mackie College.  There she earned a Licensed Practical Nurse diploma and worked at various living facilities in Salina.

Outside of work Janine loved to spend time with her animals and listen to country music. She met Jim Martens and they were married on January 8, 2010 in Salina.  

Janine was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Alley; stepfather, Ed Jochum; brother, Robert Alley; and brother-in-law, Forrest Atwood.  

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jim Martens; children, Shaun Morrell (Noelle), Melissa Price (Justin), Paige Morrell; mother, Rosemary Jochum; sisters, Coleen Atwood, Tracy Kalkman (Robert), and Lisa James (Kyle).

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday October 12, 2025 at Ryan Mortuary.
