Jerry D. Hill

SALINA - Jerry D. Hill, 69, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Jerry was born in Colby, KS to Vernon and Iva (Smith) Hill.  

Jerry worked for 35 years at Exide retiring in 2014.  He was a huge Chiefs and Kansas State Wildcat fan.  He would dance to any type of music but loved honkytonk.  Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  

Jerry was preceded by his parents, Iva and Donald Walters; birth father, Vernon Hill; and infant sister, Betty.

He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Sherri Hill; children, Cassaundra Waitt (Jason), David Hill (Kaitlyn); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Leroy Hill, all of Salina.  

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Ryan Mortuary.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at Ryan Mortuary. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
