SALINA – LaVeda Joy Lane, 87, of Salina, KS, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023.

LaVeda was born June 20, 1936, in Munden, Kansas.

On June 27, 1955, LaVeda married Louis Carl Lane in Salina, Kansas. Together they had two children, Vickie Lane-Sims and Deborah Lane.

LaVeda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Berton and Edith Carpenter; husband, Louis Lane; daughter, Deborah Lane; Sisters Marjorie Stafford and Vera Saunders.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Sims; son-in-law Terry Sims; and grandson, Michael Sims.

At LaVeda’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
