Loren V. Erickson

SALINA - Loren V. Erickson, 84, passed away on November 9, 2023. Loren was a lifelong resident of Salina, born to Charles and Elizabeth on September 28, 1939. He was a 1957 graduate of Sacred Heart high school.

Following high school Loren served in the Army and then returned to Salina and started a career as a mechanic. He will be remembered for his dedication as an AA sponsor, and a regular volunteer at the Fekas Christmas meal. He was a collector and a regular face at many auctions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth (Beck) and Charles Erickson; brother, Larry; and sister-in-law, Joyce.

He is survived by his brothers, Jess (Phyllis) and Jerry (Sara), along with many nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.

The funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina. A Rosary will be recited at 9:20 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina with a light lunch to follow at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
