Marie E. Higgins, 80, of Salina, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was born in Concordia to D.L. “Heavy” and Rita (Bombardier) Layton on September 7, 1942.
She married Lawrence “Larry” Higgins on May 5, 1962 in Concordia, Kansas.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister-in-law Janet Layton; brother-in-law, Raymond Higgins, and one grandchild.
Left to mourn her are her children, Annette Saint (Curtis), Alan Higgins (Shanna), David Higgins (Cheryl), Denis Higgins (Cindy), and Rita Johnston (Scott); 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Layton, and sister-in-law Sarah Higgins.
Cremation was chosen and no service are planned at this time.
