Mary Catherine Cash

Mary Catherine Cash, 85, of Goddard, KS passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022. Mary was born on February 15th, 1937, in Chicago, to Daniel and Catherine (Groff) Dreher. She spent most of her life in Salina, KS. She retired after 30+ years of service with Tony’s Pizza. Mary was finally able to find true love and companionship later in her adult life when she met and then married her best friend Carol Cash. Mary not only raised her own children but provided a loving and thriving life for her first-born grandson, Michael, whom she raised from the time he was one year old. She was the first to offer support to those around her, always putting the needs of others above herself.

Mary is survived by her son, Jack Willis of Ashland, OR and sister, Helen Craig (Eugene) of Silva, MO. Mary is also survived by her grandsons John Michael Fisher (Amy) of Goddard, KS, Solomon Willis (Becca) of Dallas, TX, and Caleb Willis of Stevensville, MD., and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carol Cash, her daughter Rose Marie Rhoden, three brothers, Richard Dreher, Ralph Dreher, and Daniel Dreher, and three sisters, Elizabeth Bowles, Roseanne Nelson, and Dorothy Easterberg.

A Celebration of Life picnic will be held Sunday, October 2nd, 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Park North Shelter House.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent through Ryan Mortuary for the Disabled American Veterans.
