Mary Jane (Loader) Belt

Mary Jane Belt, 84, of Salina, KS passed away April 20, 2024. She was born in Salina on July 22, 1939 to Ralph and Mary Loader and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1957 and attended Marymount College. She married Jerry Belt on September 1, 1958. Jane was a homemaker while raising her family and later worked for CB Announcements until her retirement. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed flower gardening, and traveling. She played bridge in several local bridge groups and attended many tournaments including American Contract Bridge; which she attained Life Master and later on Silver Life Master. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Don Loader of Salina, KS. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jerry, her daughter Kathy of Salina, sons Dan (Pat) of Lakewood, CO and Tom (Angie) of Morrison, CO. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Sarah Guild (Kyle), Chad Belt (Kelcey), Amanda Mikel (Dylan) and Eric Belt (Taylor). She also has eight great- grandchildren: Brayden and Tinley Guild, Brooks and Ayla Belt, Fiona and Christian Mikel, and Asher and Joey Belt. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Loader, nephews Jim Loader (Michael), Jon Loader and a very special cousin and angel, Betty Yockers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4-7:30 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary.
