Michael Evan Hayden

Michael Evan Hayden, 64, of Salina, Kan., passed away Monday, May 5, 2025. He was born in Topeka, Kan., on January 16, 1961. He was adopted at five months of age by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth (Naughton) Hayden.

Michael grew up in Salina, graduating from Salina Central High School in 1980, and later attended Salina Vo-Tech. He worked at the Salina Petro Travel Center for 25 years, retiring in 2023 from full-time to part-time. Michael enjoyed spending time with all his friends, especially their time getting together for coffee, and his favorite memories in life were the summers he spent at Kanopolis Lake.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia “Trish” Hayden, of Salina, and preceded in death by his parents.

Michael’s family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Salina Regional Health Center for their care and compassion.

Services will be announced at a later date.
