Michael George Lamone

Michael George “Boomer” Lamone, 79, of Overland Park, Kan., and formally of Salina, Kan., passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born on December 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., to George and Virginia (Cox) Lamone.

Boomer was joined in marriage to Roberta “Bobbie” Page on September 20, 1975, in Salina. He was president of Lamone Candy & Tobacco Company of Salina for many years and then spent sixteen years as a financial advisor before retiring.

Survivors include his sons, Michael (Abby) and Brian; grandchildren, Braun and Zuzu; brothers, John (Donna) and Thomas (Peggy); sister, Barbara Dolan; and many good friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 42 years, Bobbie; and brother, Gregory.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
