Mona Lee Perea

Mona Lee Perea was at home surrounded by her family when she went to be with the Lord at the age of 76. She was born in Salina Kansas on November 23, 1946 to the late Bobbie and Ethel Humpert.  Mona always spoke fondly of her hometown of  Minneapolis, Kansas, where she grew up.  She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joys were doting on her grandchildren, creating beautiful crafts and decorating her home.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Allen and survived by her sister Carol Weiss of New Cambria. Mona is also survived by her loving husband, Larry Perea (Salina), with whom she had recently celebrated 57 years of marriage together on September 17, 2022. A daughter Theresa Valcoure (Wichita), son in law Michael. Grandchildren: Haley Walker (Khyree Walker), Trevor Valcoure, and Katie Valcoure. With her first great grandchild on the way. A son Richard Perea (Salina), daughter in law Dawn. Grandchildren: Jennifer Perea and Zach Perea. Step Grandchildren: Nick Burris, Sidney Mellor, and Chandler Burris.

Memorial service will be Saturday March 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Bible Church 929 N. Rothsay, Minneapolis, KS.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Salina Gentiva Hospice, 2100 S 9th Street,  Suite G Salina, KS 67401.
