Rita Jane (Peters) Hunter

Rita Jane Hunter, 79, of Salina, KS, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born on April 7, 1946, in Beloit, KS, to John and Clara (Auer) Peters.

Rita J Peters was united in marriage to Jimmy M (Jim) Hunter on February 11, 1967, in Beloit KS., and they built a life in Salina KS.

To that marriage they had four children, Linda (David) Blouch, Kansas City KS, Betty Cagle, Kansas City KS, Jeana Gordon, Salina KS. And Deanna (John) Beckel, Harlan IA.

On this day she leaves behind Five grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, with burial to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
