Sherri Lynn (Knox) Hill

Sherri Lynn Hill, 67, of Salina, KS, passed away Friday August 8, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1958, in Salina, to Melvin and Retha (Hileman) Knox.

Sherri worked in the restaurant industry for many years before retiring to be a homemaker and take care of her children. She loved country music, playing cards, baking, and catching up with her friends Mary and Bev, and many other friends, during frequent trips to Russell’s Restaurant. Above all she loved her family and being a grandma.

Survivors include her children, Cassaundra Waitt (Jason) and David Hill (Kaitlyn); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gary Knox (Louise), Ron Knox (Hua Zhou), and Steve Knox.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of almost 42 years, Jerry; grandson, Kenneth “Kenyon” Nelson Jr.; brother, Kevin Knox; and sister, Kathy.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present from 4-6. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, at Ryan Mortuary, and livestreamed at https://youtube.com/live/zA7cAtgmKkM, with burial to follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
