Shirley Ann (Campbell) Jones

Shirley Ann Jones, born June 10, 1948, in Council Grove, Kansas, peacefully passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 77. A devoted nurse for more than 40 years at Salina Regional Health Center and a former nursing instructor at Kansas Wesleyan University, Shirley dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church and served as President of the Retired Nursing Alumni.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Jones; her son, Dennis Campbell; her grandson, Shakeim Campbell; her parents; and her siblings Virgil Campbell, Karen Scroggins, and Duereal Campbell. Cherishing her memory are her children Monica Spence, Vickie Stubbs, and Yvette Jones; her brother, Michael Campbell; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends and relatives.

Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas.
