Wanda Marie (Stegman) Budke

Wanda Marie Budke, 67, of Lindsborg, passed away Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 in Salina surrounded by her loved ones. Wanda was born in Hays, on October 11, 1956, a daughter of the late Virgil and Esther (Dechant) Stegman.

On November 6, 1976, Wanda was united in marriage to John Budke at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

She worked for 27 years as a custodian for USD 305. Wanda loved the students and staff.

Her hobbies were painting little figurines, drawing, and sewing. Wanda's biggest passion was shopping and had a way of buying the perfect gift.

She was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by her warm smile, loving heart, and her beautiful brown eyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Verlin and Steven Stegman.

Survivors include her husband, John Budke; two daughters, Trena Carlson (Heath), Tammy Livengood (Jon); grandchildren, Tarin, Hadin, Elias, Alina, Leland, Axel; siblings, Zandra Rotrock (Chester), Brenda Nitsch (Danny) and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 26th at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401, with Fr. John Schmeidler, as officiant. Rosary will begin at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery.
