William "Bill" Francis Sweeney

William "Bill" Francis Sweeney, 71, of Salina, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025.  He was born May 6, 1953, in Salina, Ks.  He was a lifelong resident of Salina. He worked many years with the Lovebox Company through OCCK.  He loved being in social settings and was quick to liven up a room with his charm, smile and laughter. He cherished his cat, April, and they were inseparable at times.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Sherri Vandenberg-Sweeney of Spokane, Wash; niece and nephew, Kaitlyn Sweeney and Joshua Sweeney, of Spokane and aunt, Helen Sweeney of Salina. He will be dearly missed by his Guardian family; Mike, Susan, Laura, Harper and Carter Sweeney. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Clara "Pauline" (Hogrefe) Sweeney of Salina and brother Richard "Dick" Sweeney of Spokane.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina. Graveside services will follow at the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, KS. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Ryan Mortuary.
