Being a family-owned-and-operated funeral service facility was a tradition begun in Salina in 1874 by the William Berg family. Continuing with this "family serving families" commitment, the Guy R. Ryan family chose our present North Eighth Street location in 1924. Currently, four Ryan grandsons and three great-grandsons manage one of the most experienced, licensed funeral service staffs in Kansas. The local ownership dedication to our community is reflected daily through our service and contributions to civic, business and religious activities.
We believe in offering a full range of services by providing a separate advance funeral planning director, a fully trained and licensed professional staff; including nine certified crematory operators. We were one of the first Kansas crematories, established in May 1985; with one of the newest crematory units, put in place in July 2010.
This provides the experience to offer the widest selection of choices available. Our packaged service options are offered to give a clear transparent combination of reasonable prices coupled with exceptional value. We feel we can provide the thoughtful assistance required to meet anyone's needs or varied service requests.
As undertakers, we are dedicated to provide the level of meaningful experience to meet the survivor's bereavement needs. We exercise our responsibility as funeral service leaders by enabling the quality and quantity of choices that are available for the selection by client families. Our goal is to faithfully serve these needs and provide dignified care for the deceased as we accomplish final disposition.
As funeral directors, our calling imposes upon us special responsibilities to those we serve and to the public at large. An important obligation is to provide information so that everyone can make knowledgeable decisions about funeral and cremation services.
In accepting our responsibilities, and as a condition of our affiliation with Selected Independent Funeral Homes, we affirm the following standards of good practice and hereby pledge:
