Mrs. Lacey was born Mary A. Vanness on May 10, 1913, at Hope. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Jack, died in 1987.

Survivors include a sister, Emma Boyd of Salina; three sons, Clifford W. Jones of Salina, Richard Jones of Pryor, Okla., and John Lacey of Denver; two daughters, Jackie Mello of McGill, Nev., and Cindy Kelley of Salina; 18 grandchildren, Bill Jones, Terry Jones, Christy Ardis, Bobbie Lee Jones, Jack Kelley and William Kelley, all of Salina, Mary Hults of Chicago, Eric Lacey, Jonathon Lacey, Rose Lacey, Donna Lacey, Stephanie Carpenter and Angelina Lacey, all of Denver, Christopher Mello, Ron Mello and Pam Mello, all of Nevada, David Mello of Utah, and Darlene Glass of Salina; and 46 great-grandchildren, Jason Jones, Lacey Jones, Cindy Rae Jones, Tanner Jones, Lucas Jones, Logan Jones, Hannah Jones and Alex Reeve, all of Salina, Allen Cleveland of Bennington, Shi Jones, Trina Jones and David Jones Jr., all of California, Jessica Lacey, Sean Lacey, Rochelle Lacey, Jeremey Lacey, Josh Lacey, Dustin Lacey, Daniel Lacey, Thomas Lacey, Sheree Lacey, Jasmine Lacey, Christopher Carpenter, Sharon Carpenter, Avianna Lacey, Riley Lacey and Jazmine Lacey, all of Denver, Chelsea Hults, Garrett Hults, Carrie Mello, Summer Mello and David Smith, all of Nevada, Dustin Mello, Sarah Mello, Michael Mello, Andrew Mello, Scott Mello, Kathy Mello, Alex Mello, Ron Mello, Shasta Mello, Danny Mello, Chris Mello, April Mello and Monica Mello, all of Utah, Courtney Hults and Garrett Hults of Chicago, Josh Detleffon, Jason Glass, Amber Glass, Lynn Brown, Ashley Ardis, Derrick Ardis, Alyssa Ardis, Cole Base and McCalla Base, all of Salina.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
