Elvina H. Nachtigall, 88, Salina, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. Mrs.Nachtigall was born Elvina H. Bay on July 26, 1915, in Lucas. She was a homemaker and former owner of Wimpy's Restaurant in Salina. Her husband, George A., died in 1994. Survivors include a son, Gale Whitmer of Chilicothe, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn Portman of Buckingham, Va., and Sandra Hill of Salina; a sister, Helen Koksal of Russell; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at University United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to University United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. |
