| James L. Adamson | January 30, 1950 - November 5, 2004 |
James L. Adamson, 54, Salina, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004. Mr. Adamson was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Lenard Roy Adamson and the former Dorothy Belle McConnell. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, serving in Germany, Panama Canal and the United States. He received the Bronze Star for bravery. He served in the National Guard while living in Pittsburg, where he worked in maintenance for Pittsburg State University. He was an active member of Lighthouse and Cornerstone Churches in Pittsburg and the Living Water Worship Center in Salina. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenard; and a brother, Gary Adamson. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Adamson of Salina; two sisters, Pauline Hamilton and husband John of Pittsburg and Denise Adamson of Salina; two brothers, Leonard Adamson of Russelville, Ky., and Timothy Adamson and wife Wendy of Akron, Colo.; and 23 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Living Water Worship Center, Salina, the Rev. Doug King officiating. Inurnment will be in Minneapolis City Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army, Fort Riley. Memorials may be made to Living Water Worship Center or KJAL Christian Radio.
