Angela Caron "Princess" Bell, 17, Salina, died and went to live with her Father in Heaven on Sunday, March 7, 2004. Angie was born September 5, 1986 in Topeka to Michael and Cindy Bell. She was a sopohmore at Salina Central High School. She lettered in debate at Central and was proud to wear her letter jacket. (Although she always said she thought her dad was more proud than she.) She took many years of dance instruction in Topeka and loved to dance until her disease would no longer permit it. She was an avid chatter over the Internet and had many e-mail buddies. Her first real job was at Penny's of Salina and she was proud of the paychecks she earned. She became a legal driver of Kansas and would help her "Daddy Phil" drive back and forth on the almost monthly trips to the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic in Kansas City. She also was a member of The Crossroads Church in Salina. Angie was preceded in death by her Aunt Lucy. Survivors include her foster parents, Phil and Liz Berg of Salina; a twin sister, Pamela Bell of Salina, five other sisters, Rebecca (Berg) Muhl of Colorado Springs, Stephanie Berg and Jenny (Berg) Crandell both of Denver, Kristina and Hannah Lenz of Salina, a birth brother, Joshua Bell-Washington, and three other brothers, Dusty Kessler, Cody and Justin, all of Salina; a Grandpa, Bill Roets of Salina; Grandma Bonnie Berg, Aunt Chris, Aunt Barb, and Uncle Hal all of Arkansas City; Uncle Mark of Wichita; special caregivers, Edith, Sue, and Kelli of Topeka, Paula of Salina, Aunt Kathy of Kansas City; Doctors' Perry, Kanarek, Lauer, "Martye", "Jessica", "Natasha", "Andrea" and many more; staff at the Kansas Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, Cathy, Adrienne, Vicki and Paul; the nursing staff on the pediatric floor at the University of Kansas Medical Center who Angie would look forward to seeing during her frequent hospital stays. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at The Crossroads Church, Salina with the Rev. Ron Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Angie may be viewed from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. As Angie would have liked, memorials may be made to the University of Kansas Medical Center Endowment Association for Pediatric Intensive Care. |
