Mrs. Counts was born Ladee Alyce Louise Law on June 23, 1909, in St. Joseph, Mo. Ladee was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at South Platte Baptist in Parkville and Bel Air Baptist in Salina. A self-taught Bible scholar, she taught classes in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School until stopped by a stroke in 1997. Her gentle, loving, prayerful concern for her family and everyone she came in contact with has left lasting impressions on each. We already miss being able to say, "lets ask Grandma", when we have a Biblical or moral question.

She married Fred M. Counts Sr. on June 28, 1931.

Ladee was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Bertha law, brother, Laverne Law, heart sister Edna Wagenknecht, beloved son in law, Ralph North and grandchildren, Nancy, Richard and Steven Benner.

She is survived by her children Fred M. Counts, Jr. and wife, Paula, Roxie Counts North, Betty Benner Hemeyer and husband, Cal; grandchildren, Ginny Barnett and husband, Harold, John Benner and wife, Mary, Stacey Cummings and husband, Jeff, Carla Cook and husband, Frank, Charla Tatom and husband, Jeremy, Heather Counts and Jim Hemeyer and wife, Gail; Great Grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson, Jessica Skvarek, and husband, Frank, Jamie Coldren and husband, Clinton, Isaac Benner, Kelly Hemeyer, Molly Hemeyer, Christa Perry and husband, Bob, Jeff Barnett and wife, Jenifer, Lance Cummings and Sarah Cummings; Great Great Grandchildren, Nicholas Perry, Jarred Perry, Kylie Skvarek, Kyler Barnett, Kenzy Barnett, Benjamin Nelson, Colton Coldren, Tori Coldren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bel Air Southern Baptist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
