Mr. Halter was born June 30, 1930, in Chaffee, Mo. He was an automotive service station mechanic.

Survivors include two brothers, Larry L. of Salina and Robert J. of Nixa, Mo.

A private inurnment service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center, Salina.

There will be no visitation.
