Gladys L. Heminger
April 28, 1919 - September 26, 2004

Gladys L. Heminger, 85, Salina, died Sunday, September 26, 2004.

Miss Heminger was born April 28, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo. She worked for the Department of the Navy during World War II and was a special agent in Washington following the war. Upon her return to Salina, she worked for Stiefel's and Wardens. She enjoyed bowling and baseball and played on the Salina Graves softball team. She belonged to AARP and the Professional Business Women's Group. She took an active role in the life and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church, was a Sunday School teacher, served on the Altar Guild and was part of the Women of the ELCA. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include three cousins, Eloise Hazelwood, Margaret Hood and Raymond Olson.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina, with the Rev. Kent Happel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
