Mrs. Wilcox was born Mamie A. Walton on Oct. 2, 1914, in Cheney. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin B. Wilcox, in 2001; a sister; and four brothers.

Survivors include a son, Ron Wilcox and wife Jan of Salina; a daughter, Marquita "Keeta" Long and husband Neal of Salina; a brother, Wayne Walton and wife Faustina of Burleson, Texas; four grandchildren, Grant Wilcox and wife Tricia, Stephanie Beatty and husband Patrick, Brian Long and wife Tuk Ta, and Anita Ochs and husband Scott; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Patty Brown-Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or University United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
