Mr. Wissing was born September 8, 1926 to his parents, Ernest and Ethel Wissing in Brookville, KS. He was owner/operator of Wissing Propane.

Robert was preceded in death by one son, Joe.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; five sons, Tony of Olathe, KS; Dan and Andy both of Overland Park, KS; Jerry of San Diego, CA; Bill of Frisco, TX; four daughters, Karen Collins of Benton, KS; Angie Peterson of Cheyenne, WY; Kris Sellers of Wichita, KS; and Becky Dennis of Bennington,KS; 24 grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 P.M. on Friday, April 23, 2004 at the St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Fr. Kerry Ninemire will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
