Mr. Epps was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Phoenix. He was a World War II veteran and retired as master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He served as a medic most of his career.

His wife, LoReta "Toni," died in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Epps of Salina; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Falun.
