Mr. Kelley was born Jarett William Kelley on April 5, 1979, in Salina. He was employed at Buildex in Marquette and also farmed with his grandfather near Falun.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mark Garten, in 2004.

Survivors include his father, Duane, of Kingfisher, Okla.; his mother, Marilyn Garten, of Manhattan; two sisters, Lindsey Kelley and Ashley Kelley, both of Manhattan; a half bother, Christopher Garten of Manhattan; a stepbrother, Jonathan Garten of Manhattan; a stepsister, Jenna Fordham of Onaga; and his grandparents, Charles and Arlene Kelley of Falun and Mary Wyman of Brownell.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Falun Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Saline County Animal Shelter or a recipient of the donor’s choice.
