Mr. Klanke was born David Wayne Klanke on Oct. 26, 1961, in Salina. He worked for the City of Salina’s engineering department for 24 years, most recently as a land surveyor.

He was a member of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors, Salina Chapter and a former member of AMBUCS of Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; his parents, Fred and Alberta of New Cambria; a brother, James and wife Lisa of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; two nieces, Hannah and Hallie Klanke of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Simona Medve of Salina; and a sister-in-law, Gerardette “Gerry” Medve of Salina.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil and rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
