Etta Mae McClain, 82, Salina, died Sunday, April 24, 2005. Mrs. McClain was born Etta Mae Boyd on Feb. 11, 1923, in Salina. She was employed at Westinghouse, Salina, retiring in 1983. She was married to Ralph David McClain on Nov. 30, 1941, in Salina. She was a founding member of Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph David, in 1992. Survivors include a son, Gene and wife Linda of Placitas, N.M.; two daughters, Rita Sweeney and husband Max and Rebecca McCormick, all of Wichita; two brothers, William Boyd of Assaria and Wayne Boyd of Lincoln; a sister, Dorothy Bennett of Salina; five grandsons, Ladd McClain, Jeremy McClain, Shane McClain, Brett Sweeney and Jeffrey Sweeney; and three great-grandchildren, Eiden McClain Martinez, Gael McClain Martinez and Cora McClain. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to Children’s Ministry at the church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. |
