Ms. McCormick was born Glenda Sue McCormick on Sept. 3, 1952, in Smith Center. She was an educator, working in several Kansas schools before becoming principal at Oakdale Grade School.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine McCormick; two brothers, Robert “Bear” McCormick and Kent Gene McCormick; and a stepsister, Colleen Vigo.

Survivors include her father, E. Glenn McCormick of Kensington; her stepmother, Nadine Louise McCormick of Kensington; her sister-in-law, Barb McCormick of Pratt; two stepsisters, Myrna Krug of Texas and Beverly Mclean of California; an aunt, Jean Beavers of Salina; a nephew, Chase McCormick of Pratt; and four nieces, Megan McCormick of Topeka, Christina Concannon and Katherine Krug, both of Texas, and Jennifer Vigo of California.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Cedar Cemetery, Cedar.
