Mrs. Phye was born Dorene Schnelle on June 3, 1911 at Sharon. She was a homemaker and taught for 13 years for Barber County grade schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley A. Phye in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Fred Phye and wife Anita of Salina; a daughter, Linda Kastle and husband Mike of LeRoy; a sister, Florence Cox of Medicine Lodge; four grandchildren, Kristy Griffin of Lynd, MN., Scott Phye of Salina, Candy Domann of Hays and Holly McKenzie of Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Mallory Griffin of Lynd, MN.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Medicine Lodge.

Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
