Mr. Piper was born July 26, 1936, in Salina. He was a welder for ADM and farmed east of Salina.

Survivors include his special friend, Peggy Piper of Salina; a son, Bobby L. Piper Jr. of Salina; two daughters, Roxanne Griep of Arvada, Colo., and Rhonda Breese of Solomon; a brother, Donald of Salina; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
