Nancy Ribble, 64, Salina, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Mrs. Ribble was born Nancy Mary Louise Whitehair on Oct. 11, 1940, at Abilene. She was an educator. She began her teaching career at Schilling Air Force Base in Salina. She then taught different grades at St. Mary’s Grade School in Salina, Canton-Galva School District, Solomon School District, the former Roosevelt-Lincoln Junior High School, Salina South and, most recently, Lakewood Middle School. Survivors include her husband, James, of the home; two sons, James Patrick Ribble and wife Lisa of Arlington, Texas, and Michael S. Ribble and wife Kelly of Manhattan; two brothers, Rodney Whitehair and wife Barbara of Battle Creek, Mich., and James Whitehair of Denver; and three grandchildren, Matthew Ribble, Michelle Ribble and Sumner Ribble. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mount Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Abilene. A vigil-rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nancy Whitehair Ribble Educational Fund, P.O. Box 797, Salina, KS 67401. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. |
