Mr. Thompson was born April 6, 1924, in Glouchester, N.J. He worked as repair technician for Salina Office Supply and Midwest Business Machines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Anna, in 1976.

Survivors include two sons, Craig of Paulden, Ariz., and Neil A. of Salina; two daughters, Susan J. Tickel of Houston and Donna L. Gehring of Tomball, Texas; a brother, William of Philadelphia; a sister, Gertrude Williams of New York; and 10 grandchildren.
