Mrs. Bennett was born Dorothy L. Boyd on October 23, 1916, in Salina. She worked for Beech Aircraft Co. She was a charter member of Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, where she had been a board member and taught Sunday School for many years. She married Carl C. Bennett on June 28, 1933, in Salina.

She was preceded in death in death by her husband, Carl C., in 2001; two sons, Harry E. and Robert C.; and a grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Rodger W. of Salina and Gerald D. of Shawnee; two brothers, William Boyd of Assaria and Wayne Boyd of Lincoln; six grandchildren; and 11 great grand-children.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
