Mrs. Choate was born Theresa M. Murdick on Aug. 9, 1949, in Portis. She had worked 29 years in several positions for Dillon’s Grocery at Sunset Plaza Store, Salina.

She was a member of the Ell-Saline School Board, volunteer for the Rolling Hills Refuge and participated in “Relay for Life” as a supporter and survivor.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Salina; a son, Cody of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Lisa McCool of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Marilyn Sorenson of Scandia.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Bavaria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Saline County Animal Shelter.

There will be no visitation.
