Mrs. Constable was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Canton, the daughter of Samuel Bacon and the former Jeanette Rodgers. She married Douglas Constable in 1935 in Beloit, and they farmed in the Bennington area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, in 1988; a son, Robert L. Constable, in 1997; four brothers, Charles Bacon, Fred Bacon, John Bacon and Galen Bacon; and five sisters, Mable Keefer, Myrtle Cunningham, Bessie Harper, Margaret Mosher and Teeley Tucker.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Laurie Orosco and husband Cesar of San Francisco; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, Pastor Warren Cico officiating. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to United Church of Bennington or McCall Manor, Salina.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
