Mr. Farmer was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Yates Center. He was a maintenance supervisor for Kenwood View Nursing Home for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenore Heglund Farmer; his parents, Robert Logan Farmer and the former Bertha Elizabeth Wysong; his daughter, LeAnn Johnson; and two brothers, Willie and John Farmer.

Survivors include a son, James and wife Eulah Johnson of Salina; a daughter, Judy Rosecrans of Salina; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Assaria Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the Salina Disabled American Veterans.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
