Marie was joined in marriage with Ernest Henry Reinert on February 28, 1935 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, KS. This union was blessed with two children, Marilyn May Reinert-Frederking, and Marvin Leroy Reinert. Ernest was killed in a car accident on May 10, 1948. Marie was joined in marriage with Alvin Martin Haesemeyer on July 28, 1954 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, KS. Alvin died on December 26, 1970.

Marie lived on a farm south of Vesper, KS most of her life, moving to Salina, KS in 1971. She was a past member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, the Dorcas Society of the Church, and the Lincoln County Garden Club. Upon moving to Salina she transferred her church membership to the Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was also a past member of the LWML and the Martha Circle. She continued to be a faithful member of the Friendship Women's Bible Class and Shepherd's Flock Sunday Morning Bible Class. She worked for six years at the Knit Shop in Kraft Manor, and was a member of the Jolly Mixers. She enjoyed crocheting and has filled her families' homes and the homes of many friends with her handiwork.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter j. Weidman of Sylvan Grove, KS and a foster cousin Gene Rafferty of Newton, KS who was raised as a brother in their home. Marie leaves to mourn her passing, her loving family, a daughter and her husband Marilyn and Delbert Frederking of Salina, and a son, Marvin Reinert, and friend Sharon Frey of Salina, six grandsons, Greg Frederking of Valdez, Alaska, Doug Frederking and his wife Karen of Kennedale, TX, Dan Frederking and his wife Dana of Salina, Tim Frederking and his wife Kim of Salina, Todd Reinert and wife Donna of Topeka, and Troy Reinert and his wife Karina of Salina, ten great-grandchildren, Devin, Dylan and Daley Frederking of Salina, Nickolas and Nathaniel Frederking of Kennedale, TX, Tevin and Taylor Reinert of Topeka, Angelica, Hope and Trinity Reinert of Salina, a sister-in-law Lydia Weidman of Lincoln, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation is Thursday, April 20 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Family will receive friends and relatives 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, KS. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 S. 9th St., Salina, KS on Friday, April 21, 2006. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Sylvan Grove, KS at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are grandson: Greg, Doug, Dan and Tim Frederking, Todd and Troy Reinert. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of her Friendship Bible Class; Leola Batterman, Emmaline Cummings, Mabel Dunham, Arlene Gerhardt, Lois Horner, Charlene Nelson, Meta Pistora, Delma Reynolds and Ruth Zier.
