Mrs. Hale was born Mary Joyce Heidrick on Dec. 1, 1942, in Asherville. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Ward in 2005; her father, William “Bill” Heidrick; her mother, Mavis Anderson; her stepfather, Pearl Anderson; and a brother, Jerry Heidrick.

Survivors include her husband, Gary, of the home; a daughter, Alison Monsanto of Salina; a brother, Robert Heidrick of Salina; a sister, Lila Lee Hupp of Presho, S.D.; and two granddaughters, Haley Crossley and Mary Monsanto, both of Salina.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Roach and Beloit, Salina. Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Highland Cemetery, Glasco.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends.
